DCSE has developed several Internet and Intranet applications for deployment and retrieval of water resources related data. Two projects completed for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California discuss these technologies. The San Francisco/San Joaquin Bay-Delta database and geographic information system (GIS) is a comprehensive, integrated data management system which accesses biological, water quality, hydrodynamic, and physical data from the Bay-Delta regional area. Planning and Resources Information Management Application (PRIMA) is an Intranet-based interface for retrieval and display of information related to water supply, sales, demographics, and weather and provides the user with the ease of use in specifying the type of data and the associated query for retrieval of the data.
