Superplasticisers are admixtures which are capable of reducing water requirements of concrete by 30%. This report has been prepared to review existing information and knowledge on the use of superplasticisers. It considers their effect on long-term performance of concrete and recommends research work needed to obtain further information on their suitability for improving durability of structural concrete.
