These standards cover the sanitary aspects of blending equipment used for combining and/or mixing either wet or dry products and includes any component equipment which shall conform to their respective 3-A Sanitary Standards.
The blending equipment begins at the entrance to the hopper or infeed pipe connection(s) and ends at the exit pipe fitting and includes all equipment in between.
In order to conform to these 3-A Sanitary Standards, blending equipment shall conform to the
following design, material and fabrication criteria.
