A collection of 19 papers covering research and design related to performance of concrete structures in seismic zones. Conceptual problems are dealt with. Dynamic analysis and mathematical modeling receives attention. Basic design concepts for shearwall structures are covered. Eight papers deal primarily with reinforced concrete component behavior, with three reports dealing with beam-column joints. Analysis and evaluation of research results is related to design considerations. Repair of earthquake-damaged structures is also described.
