Establishes a classification system for the geometrical accuracy specification of wormgearing. It also provides uniform measurement proceudres including discussions on single and double flank composite testing and tooth thickness measurements. The standard establishes ten accuracy grades, W3 through W12, based on the relative effect of geometrical errors on conjugate action for wormgear sets.
