The Hazardous Material Target List (HMTL) has been developed to support and enhance the management of risks associated with the use of hazardous materials (HAZMAT) in Products and Services, consistent with National Aerospace Standard 411 (NAS411) Hazardous Materials Management Program and MIL-STD 882E, Task 108 Hazardous Materials Management Plan.
PURPOSE
This NAS is intended to cover the identification of the HMTL and to provide guidance on its use. The HMTL has been developed to provide a common starting point for the identification of specific requirements to limit risks and/or report hazardous materials in Products and Services, as required by contract.
