Purpose:
This specification provides a standard for the manufacture, performance, inspection, and procurement of a hot forming, sizing, and straightening press. This standard lists minimum requirements and is not to limit design advances.
Classification:
The equipment shall be classified press, hydraulic, front and side loading, hot forming and sizing. The presses shall be of the following types and sizes.
Type:
The customer shall have the option of one of the following types:
Type I - "C" Frame, single action hot form and size.
Type II - "C" Frame, combination double action hot dray form and size.
Type III - Four-post type, single action hot form and size.
Type IV - Hydraulic Press Brake, single action form and size.
Size:
Type I - 48 inch depth, and lengths of 48", 60" or 72".
Type II - 48 inch depth, and lengths of 48", 60" or 72".
Type III - 30 inch depth, and lengths of 24" or 30".
Type IV - 30 inch depth and 192 length
