Purpose
This specification provides a standard for the manufacture, performance, reliability, inspection, and procurement of a series of Direct Numerical Control Systems. This standard lists minimum requirements and is not to limit design advances.
Classifications
This specification covers a series of Direct Numerical Control Systems applicable to AIA Class III point to point and AIA Class IV continuous path control systems. Included are seven (7) basic types of systems as shown in Sect. 3.2.
