This Standard applies to those portions of the control air system that furnish air required to support, control, or operate systems or portions of systems that are safety related in nuclear power plants. This Standard relates only to the air supply system(s) for safety-related air operated devices and does not apply to the safety-related air operated device or to air operated actuators for such devices. The objectives of this Standard are to provide: (1) Minimum system design requirements for equipment, piping, instruments, controls, and wiring that constitute the air supply system (2) The system and component testing and maintenance requirements.
