ANSI C136.33-2005 covers the physical features, dimensions, and electrical requirements of mating receptacles for plug-in type high-intensity discharge lamp ignitors used in roadway and area luminaires. The receptacle shall provide electrical connections so that it may be used for 52-, 55-, or 100-volt high-pressure sodium ignitors, either two-wire or three-wire, and also be used for metal halide ignitors.
