Purpose
The purpose of this document is to provide a standard approach
for the development and management of test procedure generation for
aircraft components. Major elements of this approach are:
- Roles and responsibilities of the parties involved.
- Test Specification content and attributes.
- Technical Support and Data Package (TSDP).
- Test implementation process.
- Conformance checking process.
Benefits to standardizing an approach are:
- Clarifies the responsible parties to reduce redundant and/or
missed elements of the process.
- Defines the content and attributes of Test Specifications to
aid in maintenance of it and implementation of it using alternative
methods.
- Defines the elements of the TSDP to aid in implementation of
the test specification in case this TS does not contain all
necessary data.
- Provides guidelines for the process of test implementation to
aid all parties in understanding the activities involved.
- Defines the data and provides an ARINC 668 compliant process
required to check the conformance of alternative implementation to
the Test Specification to minimize the cost for equivalency
verification.
