Purpose

This regulation implements policy and procedure for creating, maintaining, managing, and disseminating geospatial information and services in support of the Army installations, energy, and environment (IE&E) domain. This regulation standardizes installation geospatial information collection, creation, management, and distribution, and strengthens the reliability, accountability, and security of that data. The Army Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) Program establishes processes for installation geospatial information quality control, reporting, and distribution.
