Applies to mass-impregnated and pre-impregnated paper insulated cables with lead, lead-alloy or smooth aluminium sheath in voltage ranges from 0.6/1 kV up to 19/33 kV. Three-core 0.6/1 kV aluminium sheathed cables are classified as combined neutral earth (CNE) cables which means that they are suitable for use where the aluminium sheath is used as a neutral return conductor as well as an earthing conductor.
