Coal and coke - Analysis and testing - Ultimate analysis of higher rank coal, Part 6.3.2: Determination of total sulphur (High temperature combustion method)
Sets out a method, by heating in oxygen at 1350 degrees Celsius, absorbing the oxides of sulphur in hydrogen peroxide and measuring titrimetrically, for the determination of total sulphur in the analysis sample of higher rank coal. The chlorine content of the coal can be determined simultaneously with its sulphur content.
