Specifies the dimensions and tolerances on external diameter (to ISO 161-1), ovality and wall thickness of pipes and fittings for sewers and drains carrying sewage and/or waste water for use below ground and above ground where not exposed to direct sunlight. Test requirements for pipes include flattening, softening point, impact characteristics, reversion and anhydrous acetone immersion while for fittings, tests for flattening, softening point, hydrostatic pressure resistance and high temperature stress relief are specified. Illustrations of typical fittings are provided.
