Specifies material, dimensions and properties of a series of cup head bolts with ISO metric coarse series screw threads in diameters from M5 to M24 and lengths from 20 to 500 mm. The Standard provides mainly for square neck bolts and nibbed bolts, but an appendix contains supplementary information on a bolt with a plain round shank. Materials and mechanical properties are given in respect of strength grade 4.6, i.e. a tensile strength of 400 MPa. The bolts are normally supplied with hexagon nuts of strength grade 5 to AS 1112.
