Includes welding of high-strength steel reinforcing bars specified in AS 1302. It deals with metal arc, flash butt, and gas pressure welding, in the field or in the shop, of steel bar splices, steel construction devices, inserts, anchors and anchor details, including prefabricated assemblies. Connection by butt or fillet welds of reinforcing bar to steel plate and sections is also covered. Qualification procedures and tests of welders are included.
