Sets out the requirements for signs and pavement markings to be used for indicating areas of a road where parking of vehicles is allowed, restricted or prohibited; or where standing of vehicles is restricted or prohibited. Requirements for signs for area parking control are also included. Guidance is given in appendices on illumination and reflectorization of signs and on their installation. To provide for the greater flexibility in manufacturing techniques made possible by CAD/CAM, a design and numbering system for parking control signs is also given in an appendix.
