Sets out the traffic control devices to be used to warn, instruct and guide road users safely through, around or past work sites on roads including footpaths. It also provides guidelines for the planning, design and operation of traffic guidance schemes for roadworks and includes a comprehensive set of diagrams illustrating the application of traffic control devices to various types of roadwork sites. Model instructions for traffic controllers and for carrying out daily routine checks of a traffic guidance scheme are given in appendices. This Standard is intended for both office and field use.
