It identifies patient and operator hazards involved in the use of electromedical equipment and describes procedural, administrative, engineering and user practices to be observed. It is intended for use by the governing body of the hospital and the administration, and by physicians, nurses, engineers and all personnel concerned with the application of electrical appliances in the vicinity of the patient.
