Specifies requirements for seat belt assemblies, for use by adults and larger children in motor vehicles excluding larger buses, trucks, and specially constructed vehicles. The assemblies are also recommended for smaller children when used in conjunction with an appropriate child restraint in accordance with AS 1754. Half seat belts are also provided for, these being suitable to replace a damaged half of a seat belt. Requirements align with Australian Design Rules 4C and D, with some additional requirements.
