Provides for safe working programs to be established to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of persons engaged in forestry, and outlines general procedures to be followed in addition to the relevant statutory requirements. Risks to health and safety are identified and recommendations are provided for minimizing the possibility of personal injury or property damage. An appendix lists the Australian Standards specifying detailed requirements for a particular operation or equipment and a reference is included to other material related to safety and health issues in forest operations.
