It deals with two basic types of installation: major installations of atmospheric-type tanks for supplying marine tanker terminals, for pipeline peak saving, and the like; the other type concerns pressure tanks, usually part of a system for distribution by road tanker. It does not deal with any aspects of transport or piped distribution outside the perimeter of the static storage installation.
