Specifies the materials, dimensions, and head shapes for sizes from ¿ to 1 in. diameters. Head-forming tests and shear tests on the rivet stock and also on the manufactured rivets are specified. Appendices describe a method of determining ultimate shear stress of rivet stock and manufactured rivets, and recommended point shapes and main requirements for satisfactory driving.
