General dimensions and requirements are given for countersunk, raised-countersunk, pan and raised-chees head screws with slotted or recessed heads and pressed nuts. Details of a suitable head flushness gauge, a method of checking recess penetration with standard gauge points, the formulae from which the dimensions are derived and tables of standard lenths are given in Appendices.
