Applies to non-articulated frame crawler-track type side-boom cranes, intended for use in on-site pipelaying operations, comprising a crawler-track type tractor unit, to the side of which is attached a boom which may be pivoted vertically about the connection to the tractor, and incorporating a hoisting mechanism, attached to the boom, to provide means of raising, lowering and holding pipes and sections of pipeline. It establishes definitions and dimensions and specifies requirements for materials, safe working load, design, construction and testing procedures.
