This specification applies to covered conductors comprising single core stranded hard-drawn copper conductors complying with AS C41-1968, either covered with paper and braided, or covered with polyvinyl chloride or copolymer (PVC) and intended for overhead lines. The specification does not apply to single or multicore insulated conductors such as weatherproof rubber-insulated cables and the like.
