Sets out requirements for the design and construction of reflectorized red triangle type portable warning signs to be carried on vehicles ready to be used for indicating temporary obstructions in a roadway which may constitute a traffic hazard. It provides for beaded reflection or reflector buttons. Requirements are included for storage and packing and for marking. The Standard does not relate to temporary warning signs for use by authorities to indicate road works, bridge works, and other constructional hazards (see AS 1742).
