This specification applies to electro-deposited coatings of cadmium on iron and steel, except for the following: coatings applied to threaded components having threads of basic major diameter from 0.050 to 0.500 in; coatings applied to sheet, strip, or wire int he unfabricated form. Provision is made for three classes of ordinary cadmium coating, corresponding to specified thickness, and for passivated coatings.
