This Standard applies to coated fabric manufactured by coating one side of a woven or knitted cotton base cloth with a suitably plasticized and pigmented polymer of vinyl chloride, or a copolymer, the major constituent of which is vinl chloride. Such coatings are known as PVC coatings. The grades of coated fabric coverdd by this standard, which are intended primarily for upholstery, are set out in Table 1.
