The Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures, ASCE 7-02, gives current requirements for dead, live, soil, flood, wind, snow, rain, ice, and earthquake loads, and their combinations, that are suitable for inclusion in building codes and other documents.

All other ASCE 7 provisions continue to be referenced in the 2003 International Building Code. Also included is a detailed commentary on the standard, containing explanatory and supplementary information designed to assist building code committees and regulatory authorities.
