This CD ROM allows you to quickly perform the timely wind load calculations encountered in Section 6 of both ASCE 7-02 and ASCE 7-98 with absolute precision, and download the results. The software provides you with options for determining wind loads for: buildings; chimneys, tanks, and similar structures; trussed towers; signs; and domed structures (ASCE 7-02 only). It "reads" the wind speed maps (including the Continental US and Alaska), and allows you to describe the topography by using parameters for the topographic conditions included in ASCE-7. The software calculates wind loads using either the procedure for buildings less than 60-ft or the procedure for buildings of all heights at your option. The software also provides intermediate values of the MWFRS and C&C results. Additionally, the CD ROM outputs wind loads to spreadsheet files to facilitate their incorporation into structural analysis programs. The software operates in US standard or metric units in a WindowsTM environment.
