This standard specifies an anaerobic polymersable compound which polymerizes upon the exclusion of oxygen and activation by a metal surface with a torque strength of 5 Nm and a viscosity of 125 mm2s-1.

The standard is one of a series where the compounds have been graded by consideration of their torque strength and viscosities.

NOTE: The materials should not normally be used on electrical connections where the assembled connection is required to carry electrical currents.
