The Building Energy Quotient (EQ) labeling program, developed by ASHRAE, rates new and existing buildings. The program focuses on energy, but includes an Operational Rating (In Operation) and an Asset Rating (As Designed). This enables side-by-side comparison of estimated and actual energy performance. The program is in its pilot phase and a full-scale launch is expected in late 2010.
