ASHRAE Research Update: Effects of Airside Fouling on Condenser Heat Exchangers PDF

To study the effects of fouling in a lab, ASHRAEResearch Project 1705 created debris like what is commonly found in home airconditioners. With that done, researchers could predict how fouling wouldaffect new coil designs and more. The results were surprising.
