ASHRAE/IES Standard 202 describes the Commissioning Process, the roles of the principle agents and stakeholders, and a framework for developing design documents, specifications, procedures, documentation, and reports. It also describes the general requirements for a training program for continued successful system and assembly performance. Informative appendices provide sample documentation, including checklists, systems manual, reports, training plan, and more.
The 2018 edition of Standard 202 includes updates to terminology and definitions. Supplementary guidelines (Guidelines 0, 1.1, and 1.5) are available in the ASHRAE Bookstore and provide specific and detailed information on how to implement the Commissioning Process for each major building/facility, system or assembly, and for various stages of facility development and operation.
