CONSIL 906 is an internally oxidized silver-cadmium oxide alloy for electrical contact applications. It has extremely small cadmium oxide particles, desirable for long contact life. The particles exhibit a tree-ring pattern, a characteristics of the multiple oxidation production process. Careful control of the oxidation process results in negligible cadmium oxide depletion of the core or surface.
