ALUMINUM 413.0 is normally classified as a die-casting alloy; however, it also can be used for sand and permanent-mold castings. Its high silicon content (12%) lowers its melting temperature and increases its fluidity, thus improving its castability. It is used for intricate thin-walled castings requiring pressure tightness, toughness and good resistance to corrosion.
