ALUMINUM A206.0 is a new high-strength aluminum casting alloy. It provides an optimum combination of strength, light weight and economy. Its performance approaches that of forged steel, yet it may be less expensive to use because its lower tooling costs often offset the price difference. In automotive applications, the lighter weight of A206.0 can save fuel and increase range. Despite being a new alloy, it is already used in a variety of applications.
