Alcoa 2324-T39 plate is an age-hardenable high-strength version of alloy 2024 (see Alloy Digest Al-23 and Al-346.) The 2324-T39 alloy is used where higher strength; toughness, and good resistance to fatigue-crack propagation are needed. A typical application is the lower wing skin of commercial transport aircraft.
