ISO1083/JS/400-15 is a ferritic spheroidal graphite cast iron that has a minimum tensile strength of 400 MPa (58 ksi) and a minimum elongation of 15%, when measured on test pieces machined from separately cast samples. It has a tensile strength exceeding that of the highest-tensile-strength grade of gray cast iron, together with much higher elongation and impact resistance.
