HAYNES STELLITE Alloy No. 6B is a cobalt-base alloy with many outstanding characteristics: (1) It is highly resistant to most types of wear, (2) It has long service life even under constant erosive conditions, (3) It shows high resistance to seizure and galling even without lubricants, (4) It retains high hardness even at red heat, (5) It is tough and resistant to thermal shock, (6) It resists heat and oxidation at elevated temperatures, and (7) Its corrosion resistance is good in a wide variety of media. Its many uses include scrapper blades, screw conveyor flights and sleeves for seawater pump shafts.
