View Sample Alloy Digest Data Sheet (PDF)

Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.

In the powder production process used to make Ancorsteel, molten steel is atomized into irregular, homogeneous particles which are then annealed to produce the uniform, dependable steel powders designated as Ancorsteel. Ancorsteel grades are designed for P/M parts requiring densities exceeding 6.7 g/cm3 (0.24 lb/in.3). Ancorsteel 2000 is a water atomized low-alloy powder metal containing Ni, Mo, and Mn and is useful in P/M parts requiring greater hardenability.
