Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.

Copper Alloy No. 993 is a copper-nickel-aluminum-cobalt alloy with unusually good heat-resisting properties. It was developed for use in molds for glass containers and also is used for sheet-glass rolls. Compared to cast-iron (the alloy commonly used for molds), Copper Alloy No. 993 has four outstanding advantages: (1) high thermal conductivity, (2) high hardness, (3) high resistance to oxidation and (4) good dimensional stability.
