MUELLER Alloy 3300 is a brass containing 0.5% lead for improving machinability. The lead detracts somewhat from its cold workability; however, despite the lead, cold workability is rated as excellent. Overall, the alloy has a good to excellent combination of machinability and cold workability. It has good resistance to corrosion by various atmospheres, saline waters and mild organic chemicals. Its uses include pump and power cylinders and liners, plumbing brass goods and plumbing accessories.
