Copper Alloy No. C36500 is uninhibited leaded Muntz metal containing nominally 0.5% lead to provide fairly good machinability. It has moderate strength; the tensile strength of hot-rolled 1-inch thick plate is 54,000 psi (372 MPa). It has good resistance to corrosin in both fresh and salt water but is subject to dezincification. It is used for condensers and heat exchangers.
