View Sample Alloy Digest Data Sheet (PDF)

Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.

Copper Alloy No. C68800 is a wrought copper-base alloy (modified brass) containing nominally 22.7% zinc, 3.4% aluminum and 0.40% cobalt. It has high strength and fairly good ductility. It can be hardened and strengthened further by heating temper-rolled material to 425 F where an ordering reaction occurs. Typical uses include springs, contacts, terminals and plug receptacles.
