View Sample Alloy Digest Data Sheet (PDF) Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.
TECHALLOY FECRALLOY A is a new, flexible iron-chromium-aluminum electrical-resistance alloy for heating elements. It greatly resists embrittlement and oxidation; in fact, it has outstanding resistance in air and other hot oxidizing gases to 2372 F (1300 C). Its useful life is many times longer than that of heating elements made from conventional resistance alloys. The alloy can be formed easily on standard equipment and, if necessary, heating elements can be removed easily and repaired; also, the alloy is so ductile that it can be rewound.
