View Sample Alloy Digest Data Sheet (PDF)

Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.

PYROMET CTX-3 is a high-strength precipitation-hardenable low-expansion superalloy. It exhibits a low coefficient of thermal expansion over a broad temperature range combined with high strength. The alloy possesses high hot hardness and good resistance to thermal fatigue. It is brazable, weldable and can be plated with chromium. CTX-3 uses comprise compressor and exhaust casings, seals and other components for gas turbine engines.
