HAYNES Alloy No. 273 is a nickel-base, hard-facing alloy developed to provide extra life for hot-working equipment such as hot-forging dies, hot-shear blades and hot-extrusion dies. It is deposited by using a composite electrode with nickel-base core and the balance of the alloying elements in the flux coating. Deposits retain their hardness up to 1200 F.
